to provide financial support to the Chesterton parks and recreation department
About Us
The Chesterton Parks Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2024 to help provide financial support to the Chesterton Parks and Recreation Department. The Chesterton Parks Foundation is an outlet for individuals, foundations, and corporations to provide tax-deductible gifts for specific parks or projects. Although the parks are funded by the Town of Chesterton, the Chesterton Parks Foundation provides support to projects that may require additional funding. Our organization gives everyone an opportunity to contribute to the beauty of our park system.
Mission statement
The Chesterton Parks Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established in 2024 to support, enhance, and advocate for the development, maintenance, and improvement of Chesterton Parks and trails through fundraising, partnerships, community advocacy, and public engagement.

The governing body of the Chesterton Parks Foundation is the Board of Directors, which generally meets bi-monthly throughout the year.
