The Chesterton Parks Foundation is the proud philanthropic partner of the Chesterton Parks and Recreation Department. Check out how we support the park system through key initiatives below.

pillars of chesterton - Bandstand restoration

The Chesterton Parks Foundation invites you to be recognized as a Pillar of Chesterton by supporting the preservation of the historic bandstand located in Thomas Centennial Park. One of the few remaining original bandstands in Indiana, the historic structure has been the unofficial symbol of Chesterton since its construction in 1924. The bandstand has long served as the focal point of downtown and the center of various activities and celebrations. We are committed to ensuring it remains a vibrant part of our park for generations to come.

Details regarding sponsorship opportunities are coming soon.

Dog Park

A dog park has been identified as a funding priority by the Chesterton Park Board in their recently updated 5 Year Parks Master Plan. A timeline is still being determined, but we will actively support and raise awareness for the project once it moves forward. Please check back for additional information.
